RATINGS

Atmosphere: 4.5/5

Food: 4.5/5

Parking: 5/5 (Has its own lot! A Nashville rarity!)

THINGS TO KNOW

Reservations: Yes (used Open Table)

Must Try: Sweet corn gelato (don't knock it till you try it)

Meh: Nothing. We surprised ourselves with this one #judgeypants

If you drink, I drink. We drink.

We started with drinks, like any good meal should start. Shelby ordered the Eat A Peach, inspired partly by the southern summer night and partly by the waitress's recommendation. Megan ordered the Berry Me, because she had to choose something different and is a lazy menu reader.

Eat A Peach: delicious. I didn't even realize it was bourbon! #winning #shelbydoesn'tlikebourbon.

Berry Me: sweet blackberry taste with a cute lemon wedge to make me feel classy (pinkies up). We recommend both cocktails for a fun summer drank.

Savory

Sea Scallops: they were good, nicely browned but the Maillard crust was missing. Potatoes and beans were great additions to create a light dish. Small plate.

Ricotta Gnocchi Verde: It was green. Spoiler alert. Good flavor, but was denser than expected. Nuts added textural diversity. Good sized plate for sharing or for a main course.

Blanche #1: We aren't talking about the Golden Girl. Pizza delivered on expectations. It wasn't 'the' greatest pizza ever, but it was pretty good. Let's be real Shelby has eaten her fair share of pizza #collegenights and let's face it, not everyone gets it right in this town. I digress. Thin crust, white sauce had good flavor, Italian version of a BLT with bacon, basil, and cherry tomatoes. Definitely would order again. Size good for two people to share.

Sweet

House made gelato and sorbet: so we told you that we shocked ourselves with the sweet corn gelato making our must try list. We were expecting it to taste like straight up corn on the cobb, but it actually took us back to watching Boy Meets World on Saturday mornings, eating our Corn Pops cereal #coryandtopanga4lyfe. Sweet, creamy, corn poppy flavor. We also tried a peach sorbet. Had a light, subtle peach taste which was a great balance against the creamy gelato. Would definitely order the sweet corn gelato again and explore other gelato menu options.

"In conclusion"

It's a cheap Rolf and Daughters, but with consistently good food. Everything we ordered was good! Definitely would come back, after we get through the whole alphabet. #wegonnabebroke

p.s. They are great with taking multiple forms of payment (we tried it out for you). Easily navigated a gift card + cash + $3 on credit card combo #collegethrowback #doyouhavevenmo?
