RATINGS

Atmosphere: 3/5

Food: 3/5

Parking: 4/5 - street parking and small lot behind the building

THINGS TO KNOW

Reservations: No

Must Try: Chicken Arepa

Meh: Avocado fries, Cookies

Sips

Mimosa: it was just a mimosa. yeah.

Savory

Chicken Arepa: avocado, cilantro, shredded cheese, diced onion, guaijilo chicken. Great flavor. Wasn't too heavy of a dish. Would order again if we are in the area and need to be within walking distance to the Sounds' stadium.

Blackbean Arepa: avocado, cilantro, shredded cheese, diced onion, guaijilo blackbeans. Wow the difference one ingredient makes. It was bland and... eh. Vegans of the world, you are missing out on so much flavor. Order the chicken!

Meatball Sub: Lulu's meatballs, Big E's marinara, Parmesan cheese on toasted hoagie. I don't know who Big E is, but he (or she #imwithher #susanbanthony) makes pretty good marinara sauce, considering this isn't an Italian restaurant. The hoagie was soggy, but they already knew that and were planning improvements. Gotta love a restaurant that is striving to be better. #dontstopbelieving

Avocado Fries: So we honestly did not know what to expect. Even with no expectation to live up to, this did not deliver. Pure. Salt. Are we horses? No. #saltlick

Sweet

Cookies: double chocolate and chocolate chip. No need to split these out into separate reviews, they were both terrible. Hard. Crumbly. Go home and eat your tollhouse cookie dough

In Conclusion

I mean, there isn't much to say. If you are in the area and want to grab lunch with a girlfriend and talk about how terrible Karen's outfit was, then this would be a good spot. Or if you are going to a Sounds game and want to be SUPER close to the stadium, sure stop by. But otherwise? Not worth it. Germantown has many other options to tempt your palate.
